I'm not really sure what your app does!

It looks like it guesstimates your location and displayes it on your Today screen.

I want an application that records signal strength (as a %) and network as I travel around, does it do that?

On the first tab in my application You can see signal strength (indicator + dBm values).

You can turn on logging to file and the resulting file has the records with following structure:

LAC;Cell Id;BCCH;Date; Time; .

Sorry Paul for my intentionally short and fuzzy answer. :D GSM database is combined from many other existing sources, still growing and yes - UK is supported :D.
