Guest KrayzieFox Posted July 30, 2008 Report Posted July 30, 2008 I recently installed TCPMP (media player) and assigned the messaging button to be the button that turns off the screen. However, since then the messaging button will no longer bring up my messaging Inbox, and instead only turns on the backlight. I removed the shortcut from TCPMP and restarted the phone, but the button still doesn't do anything. Can anyone help me out?
Guest Nottach Posted July 30, 2008 Report Posted July 30, 2008 do you have this file? /windows/start menu/messaging.lnk i think the button calls this link.
Guest KrayzieFox Posted July 30, 2008 Report Posted July 30, 2008 Nope, I sure dont. I was looking for a file in the Windows directory but didn't know the name to look for. Could someone attach it for me please? I don't know what could've happened to it..
Guest KrayzieFox Posted July 31, 2008 Report Posted July 31, 2008 Could someone please attach or email the messaging.lnk file for me? I must have deleted in on accident..
Guest KrayzieFox Posted August 2, 2008 Report Posted August 2, 2008 Wow lemme tell ya guys, this forum is insanely helpful <_< I mean this was such a difficult request and all, so I completely understand why no one was able to help me out. Copying and attaching/e-mailing a file out of a phone is OH SO DIFFICULT!! But anyway, I'll end this rant on a good note and offer the missing file that I copied from my cousin's BlackJack I. That way in case someone has the same issue as me, they can actually find what they're looking for on this very useful forum.. http://www.2shared.com/file/3694581/f73e4bf4/Messaging.html
Guest Nottach Posted August 3, 2008 Report Posted August 3, 2008 Or instead of doing that you could've just copied from the /windows/ directory to the /windows/start menu/ directory. Its in both locations by default. So be happy you got any help at all, I almost didn't post my previous reply because the problem was one that anybody with a little common sense could've figured out. I did when I deleted that link.
