Rom update for Orange HTC Diamond

Hi all,

Just got the HTC Diamond from Orange today, I am quite new to this rom tweaking area, so could someone let me know

1. Can I flash the Orange rom at all, or does it need to be unlocked first?

2. Tools required to do the flashing

3. Most stable and up-to-date rom at the moment.

Any pointers are welcome.
