Just checked their online shop this morning, the Dolphin 35 no longer comes with unlimited data bundle, how will this impact customers signed up to this already? Surely we can still honour this offer right?

If you signed up during the offer period and are waiting for your contract to change over then you should still get it - mine changed over today (offer ended yesterday) and I confirmed with O today that I have the package active on my account.

People signing up from today onwards won't get it though....

This is typical of Orange in recent years.

Their pricing and policys towards their plans are as clear as mud.

Why cant they stick with one thing? I mean surely if you are looking for unlimited data, why would you even consider going with orange, apart from coverage?

I thought they might have turned the corner recently hearing what I was from their new CEO, am I to be proved right again about them?

I guess we are already seeing that I might be!

Cheers

So it if the offer was on at the time of ordering over the phone, then you are eligible for it then or does it count from the date you receive your phone and have it registered?

Did the offer end close of business yesterday?

Also, can someone confirm whether the MSN messenger data is included in this allowance?

PS: My gf just rang, they said the usage allowance is now 250mb instead of 500mb... wtf...

A friend phoned customer support about this earlier, and it's true - the unlimited data promotion ended today. If you ordered the phone before today you should still get it.

When I got mine, I got the sales person (who was the branch manager) to write 500mb allowance on the contract so I've got proof if they ever try to tell me it's 250.

It looks like it's not worth going with Orange now - the best data bundle is £8 for 30mb which is awful considering everyone else offers their "unlimited" package for less.

I think Orange are still doing the buyback on old phones deals (If you haggle, I got £180) and sometimes a discount on line rental. But for me, 30mb isn't enough on a phone which has a 'real' browser, a youtube app, and google maps.

They may be the best for buybacks, and phone prices etc.. but for me (if I didnt get mine last week) the data would be a deal breaker :D

30mb for £8 was scrapped about a month ago, it was changed to 250mb for £7.50

ah right, that does make a bit more sense. Although when I log in to youraccount, it shows the data bundles as:

Orange World Access

Mbs per month cost per month (exc. VAT)

none £ 0.00

OW Daily Capped Usage £ 0.00

Unlimited Evening & Weekend Browsing £ 5.00

30 £ 8.00

80 £ 41.13

apologies for the formatting, it's a cut and paste :D
