Dear Members i have two problems with my device i would like your help:

1. How do i get rid of "Connection setup" that always pop's up when i start my device?

2. The word Completion does not work in my device despite checking all the boxes in settings.

1. Can you not just accept it, and let it configure the device?

1. Connection setup, as SSR says agree to the automatic setup of connections and it will save you manually configuring it.

2. This came up in an earlier thread, to enable word completion requires a registry change. Change the registry key XT9SupportMSSip in HKLM\SOFTWARE\Tegic\eT9\ from '0' to '1' and this enables word completion whilst using the standard keyboard.

One thing I have not discovered how to do is to automatically put a space after a word in word completion.

Ordinarily I just press space to accept the word, and that adds the space. But I suspect I'm missing something!

The automatic setup is the problem isn't it? That is you're getting connection setup appearing when turning the phone on = the automatic setup.

You just need to agree to it using the prompt at the bottom of the screen, and it should set the phone up for your provider. It works for mine with O2, and I have to say it's MUCH appreciated - I hated having to set the phone up manually on the TyTN, and couldn't get MMS to work properly.

HKLM stands for HKEY_Local_Machine which you should be able to see in the registry. PHM Registry Editor is free http://www.phm.lu/Products/Smartphone/RegEdit/ or there are other applications such as SK tools, which contains a registry editor and a lot of other tools as well.

If you're country is not listed when settings pops up, tap 'No' and do a manual connections set up.
