Trying to get my unit id but keep getting 0 on my BJII???

Can someone please tell me what I might be doing wrong here? I follow every instruction and even tried other methods does the gps actually have to see sattellites before it will give me an ID or something? Also with GPSTest It will keep saying GPS starting up and it seems like it finds satellites but it stays on starting up?

not yet I can use gpstest and get the gps to start but then i go to garmin XT and it only trys to detect a remote gps through bluetooth I dont understand how to get it to find the gps that is built into the phone thus giving me the unit ID of 0 on the maps program. If anybody could help that would be awesome.

I have tried the steps there and it will never locate the gps hardware it always says scanning bluetoothe andin the options of garmin it only says remote gps. Also someone said set garmin for 'intermediate driver' where is that?

Thanks a lot that worked for me but one other thing if anybody else knows I cant look up POIS or adresses it says you need detailed maps installed for that?
