Guest vii_voo Posted August 3, 2008 Report Posted August 3, 2008 Switch of the auto adjust backlight option and manual set to notch 4. Also install Batti 2.3, so you can more accurately see battery life. You could also switch network type from Auto to GSM, if not using much 3G.
Guest vii_voo Posted August 3, 2008 Report Posted August 3, 2008 Or turn the device off.... Or get Touch Pro. Shame such a nice phone has poor battery life (had the phone for 2 weeks now). I'm so reluctant to return it and wait for a Vario IV (Touch Pro). Not sure how much it would improve with ROM updates. But as I have a T-Mobile Compact IV, I just don't know when T-Mobile would provide an update.
Guest Confucious Posted August 3, 2008 Report Posted August 3, 2008 Apparently later ROMs do improve battery life. If I had one I'd be straight over to xda-devs to get the latest ROM!

HSDPA seems to use a lot more than just 3G. I can drain a battery on my Ameo in 2 hours using HSDPA but BT makes no difference. Strange Eh?
