Is the diamond as tough as its name-sake!?

It was bound to happen eventually! I dropped my diamond - only from about 2 feet onto a wooden shelf but I do find the phone very prone to trying to slip out of my hands!

No apparent damage - has anyone been less lucky? I ask with a view to finding out how robust the diamond is because I just KNOW I am going to manage to drop it again at some point in its life - probably after beer :D

That's why I bought a case for mine!

I went for the Krussell, although it's not as nice a fit as my TyTN case.

I've dropped mine a few times onto a hard floor with no harm yet. Not even any scratches to the paint. :D

One thing I love about the diamond is how "solid" it feels build quality wise - after your "dropping incidents" nothing has loosened off, like the back cover etc?

I came from having an n95 8gb which I LOVED but the build felt pretty flakey and always bothered me...

I'm probably the first person to have damaged there touch diamond, after such a devestating event i now have a few scratches on the screen, mainly at the topand at the top of the home button, luckily no main screen damage... surprised to say after I drop kicked it across the Homebase Concerete floor, where it slide and spun for quite some distance it came off ok, i was so scared to turn it over, put nothing broke off, nothing loosened, no paint scratched and it still works as good as anything.

:D

Yeah mine did - normally I cant be bothered with them but a protector is probably a good idea for a touch screen...

petey23 - lol, your incident in home base sounds traumatic but at the same time the image amused me :D I hate that feeling before you pick something expensive up just after dropping it, expecting the worst! sounds like the diamond can take a bit of abuse though which is good news... I find alcohol and expensive gadgets dont mix too well as thats when I usually have "incidents" :D

I just dropped mine yesterday. It slipped out of my hand while I was calling someone, typical it would be onto the gravel outside and not on carpet where it would have ben fine. I was gutted to find some minor scratches/scuffs on the back but nothing serious. Phone works as well as it did before. I am now considering one of those silicon cases so it doesn't slip as I think it might be too small for my hands. I had one for my M500 and it was great.
