I reset mu Omnia to Singapore.. like 4 times...

and still in this version.. How I can update my Omnia??

i have a brand new samsung omnia and im a new user (of omnia and new roms)

mine is version:

PDA : i900XXHJ4/PNHJ1

PHONE: i900XXHI5

i would just like to upgrade. if thats even possible? (the phone is brand new)

please tell me everything what i need to do -> basics style (the country is slovenia@ si.mobil, if needed)

Most simply way,

1. Find i900DX+NULL(0000h) as UTF-16 in DXHG4 Updater, using a binary editor.

2. Change i900DX to suit for your Software Version, i.e. i900XX.

3. Update normaly.

Any chance we could have this in English please???

everything went fine until step 4 that was failed

Sorry if it´s out of time, but ive just updated my omnia and it went from a portuguese version to a corean one. I presume that it was my fault, but where can i get the unlock portuguese version of ROM to install in my omnia?

Ya've to download Samsung modem xp (driver), and if it asks you for "installing new hardware" during Rom update, let PC goes in that driver folder to search and install. This, together with Microsoft Activesync is all you need

I have been to countless forums and have not gotten a reply, but I'll give it a shot here. I have the i908e (Chinese). To begin with, it's not running windows mobile. The other critical issue is that activesync isn't on my phone! When i connect my phone to my pc via usb cable, the only options are mass storage, webcam, and COM port (THEY WORK). Is all lost or is there another way to update my phone besides using the activesync application which isn't on my phone?

Hi I got an Omnia from Australia Allphones (optus) a couple weeks ago, and I was hoping someone could help me with my software version. My device says the following:

PDA i900DFHL1

Phone i900XXHL1

Now looking at the treads my country code is DF which according to the list of country codes doesn't exist, shouldn't it be along the lines of DT or something like that. Also HL1 does that mean its December 2008 version 1. Meaning its the most current official rom that is available?

Can't make my DXHH3 Omnia to be updated to the latest version.

No way to remove the Incorrect version, even changing the Default on the Admin menu.

Tulius, pelo que eu sei, so da esse erro de versao quando vc esta alterando o País

exemplo, se teu onmina veio com a rom DTHJ1 e vc quer por a DXHJ9

Nao vai dar esse erro de versao se vc sempre continuar usando a mesma inicial da ROM do Páis

O meu é DT??? se eu sempre continuar atualizando apenas pra ROM com iniciais DT (Australia) eu nao vou ter nunca problemas com Versao incorreta

I've tried to update my rom for the first time and im getting incorrect software version.

I have the Orange,UK version XXHG5 and im on VISTA.

I've downloaded the drivers and software program.

I then changed the settings on the phone to France - Orange (also tried Singapore) and waited for it to hard reset.

Upon the hard reset and connecting it up via USB, I keep getting incorrect software version.

Any ideas pls what I may be doing wrong?

does anyone know wat the newest version rom my phone is dxhk3/pda dthj5 , also where can i get a vista rom???

I´m still havingo prblem updating using Windows XP 32bit SP3 with the message incorrect software version

I did all the recommended fix

Change to Singapure and try to update with i900DXIA5_updater_xp.exe

Change to Philipines and try with the i900DZIA5_updater_xp.exe

Both rom are original from samnsung website

Omnia Drivers for xp and active sync is OK. Detects the device and syncronize as well, but when try the uodte the incorrect software version still

my name is roy and i am rather desprate for your help. i got a Samsung i900 Omnia from germeny on tuesday. i originally live in israel. after reading for the past 2 and half days about how it works i am yet to undermine how do i overcome my main problem. the fact it's main language is Dutch.

i have read as much as i possibly could on the forum regarding the ROM and i face the same dead end every time. Every time i get to the main website where i need to pick my country of region and OS, and afterwards, inputing the PDA version.

since i bought it in germeny i have to select Germeny as my country of region, and then when i put my PDA version it is indeed continue to the website where i can download the upgrades ( not even sure that's what im suppose to do ). if i choose the UK and try to put my PDA version afterwards it says i was giving the wrong PDA version which is false, unless it recognize its not a UK PDA vesion ( most likely to be so? ).

not sure whatever im clear about my situation and my need for help or not but, in a nutshell:

my PDA is: i900XGHJ9/BHHJ3

TELEFON is: i900XXHJ1

what i mainly want here is to be able to have my main controling UI language in english. honestly, i am not sure how to do it because by looking at the other posts people had different versions than i had. i was hoping someone could give me the salvtion i need here and educate me on what the hack was i missing.

i would be more the grateful to hear more about it and what do i need to do to be able to start using my new cellphone.
