Guest Paul (MVP) Posted August 18, 2008 Report Posted August 18, 2008 Just downloading this now... http://www.ftouchsl.com/default.aspx If it works it'll be great! Will save me having to use that hideous optical joystick thing to switch between messaging accounts :D P
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted August 18, 2008 Report Posted August 18, 2008 Wow, it works BRILLIANTLY on the i900. Better than HTC's touchflo kinetic scrolling IMHO! :D P
Guest broughs Posted August 18, 2008 Report Posted August 18, 2008 (edited) Couldn't get FTouchSL to work but looks like I have found an older version of HTC Home that works on Omnia (HTCHomeplugin.cab). Configured using HTC home Customiser and so far so good. Stu Edited August 18, 2008 by broughs

Guest Turb0wned Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 Got it here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?p=526758 Works good but how do you turn off the sound?
Guest vincentvan Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 Got it here http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?p=526758 Works good but how do you turn off the sound? I download it and got it among my"programs" ,then I opened it and I checked the "activate" square, But I am unable to insert the settings: some of them because I just can't figure what they mean and some one (like the "active corners") because it just seems impossible: Once you have decided the size of your active corners how can you possibly confirm the settings? If you use the touch screen or the mouse you change the sizes again and if you use one of the buttons it just activates the function assigned to that button. The program itself says: "to confirm press soft key/left button, to abort press the soft key/ right button. What the hell does it mean? The right button and left button must be the ones to start and to close a phone call, but if you press the answer button (the left one) it just open the contacts, if you press the other one it closes the program , if you press one of them together with the mouse pad nothing at all happens. The side buttons just keep on doing their normal functions (camera, volume up, vol down, etc) . Please can anyone help me to activate this program? If you just check te activate box and leave the default setting does it work? I doubt it because it asks you to choose the function you want to activate for any single finger movement; so? Is'nt there some sort of explanation, manual, suggestion? Please , help me out with this and you will not be forgotten in my testament.

Thank you in advance for your testament B) First at all there is an official site of app: http://www.ftouchsl.com/ and there is FAQ on it, and there is a description of each feature! You can confirm the size of active corners or launching area with your optical joystick but not in mouse mode but in joystick mode by sliding your finger to the left.

Guest marciorr Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 (edited) Just installed. Working very fast. The only problem so far is that I cant "unlock" the screen with the botton right button. It locks fine, but don´t unlock. Even with the program disabled the button doesn´t work. I had to unistall it to get the unlock function back. Weird... someone have a clue on this? Edited November 28, 2008 by marciorr
Guest lastnikita Posted November 28, 2008 Report Posted November 28, 2008 ok now I see. looks like it only happens within programs standard windows.. do you get the same effect ? I mean it's not scrolling real-time but with a little delay.

After playing with it for 15 minutes I disabled the program, to me the default Samsung touch software seems much much much better than this . Maybe I did'nt program it in the best way, but I dont like it a bit and I think that I will cancel it soon. BTW did anybody pay for it? I just downloaded the "trial version" thinking that if I will like it I will pay it later on, but once I installed it on the phone I did'nt even find an option to buy it, not even in the tutorial or in the options. Well , better. I would'nt pay for it anyway, as a matter of fact ATM I would'nt even use it for free.

Guest P A U L Posted May 12, 2009 Report Posted May 12, 2009 i don't get the hype over FtouchSL... i'm on the trial version right now of 2.10 and when i install and enable, scrolling became worse! (i'm also using SPB mobile shell 3?) and on its main screen, scrolling doesn't work at all... i tried looking for configuration settings hoping somebody exported a file, but no luck... i'm assuming i'm doing something wrong....
Guest Omniaaddicted Posted May 12, 2009 Report Posted May 12, 2009 (edited) it's free? or someone has cracked for it...:D Edited May 15, 2009 by Omniaaddicted
Guest kav Posted May 15, 2009 Report Posted May 15, 2009 everything can be found if u look hard enough :D besides, it not so good app, i installed it and it make the scrolling more fluid in the programs but with the widgets it doesnt want to scroll and in my contact manager as well which had already an awesome kinetic scrolling, and with this app, it just locks, cant scroll at all. its a nice app but quite buggy..
Guest Rob V Posted May 16, 2009 Report Posted May 16, 2009 Just FYI, a tip for those that are running WM 6.5: FTouchSL is an awesome app to dramatically improve native WM scrolling in 6.5. It replaces Samsung's scrolling (the one that often goes into line-by-line mode accompanied by all the loud clicking) with nice smooth scrolling. And you don't even have to buy it! The secret is to install FTouchSL, but don't activate the actual program itself. During installation, the default Samsung 'touch.dll' is replaced by the new one, and that's what WM then uses to handle scrolling. Whenever I activated the FTouchSL program itself, the scrolling was worse than it had been before - very unpredictable. Almost as if the native WM and FTouchSL scrollers were conflicting with one another. But once you turn FTouchSL off, you enjoy all the benefits of its smooth (and quiet!) scrolling.

I noticed this aswell! Installed it, and activated the software and scrolling was very difficult, at times impossible. I had to reset my phone because the screen was completely locked ... FTouchSL configures itsel that it doesnt load when starting WM... After the reset everything scrolls so nicely :D so smooth! and no sounds  I LIKE!
