Should I charge the battery overnight right out of the box or exhaust the battery first?

When I first take the Omnia out of the box, should i charge it overnight immediately, or use up all the power that comes with the battery before charging overnight?

Or could it be that these memory effects are so dated it doesn't affect battery performance any more in these new phones? :D
