Guest Shin007 Posted August 24, 2008 Report Posted August 24, 2008 Hello everyone.. Got my Omnia yesterday. Although occasionally it vibrates to screen taps, mine has never vibrated when entering in text. Shame, it's one of the features i wanted after having an iPod Touch, and struggling with its text entry.
Guest Shin007 Posted August 24, 2008 Report Posted August 24, 2008 After some googling, it seems the Samsung have broke the "touch vibrate" in the latest software update.
Guest Shin007 Posted August 25, 2008 Report Posted August 25, 2008 (edited) where do you get the update? I've looked at the Samsung UK site, and under software nothings listed. My Omnia is at i900XXHG5/MSHG1 Edited August 25, 2008 by Shin007

Thank's for the link, I had seen that as it's at the top of the list on the forum. Anyway, I thought there may be an official update from Samsung for the UK/EU market.

Guest blackhorse Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 thats good to hear that orange will be releasing an update soon! Really?! My advise is anyone that got the phone on Orange is to use Samsung website for updates. Original Orange batch are completly generic stock and therefore will update with lastest firmwares from samsung and wont need to be approved by orange
Guest Shin007 Posted August 26, 2008 Report Posted August 26, 2008 thats good to hear that orange will be releasing an update soon! I wouldn't get too excited, she wouldn't/could'nt give a date nor would she elaborate on what the "WIFI" problem was.

It was uploaded Paul and team here have made an exe file for people to use http://www.modaco.com/content/samsung-i900...cted-dx1hh-rom/ yes, the vibrate while messaging is fixed on HH1, however it's only working with the Samsung original keyboard or keypad or phonepad only, it's not vibrating if we use another software, such as TouchPal. anyone know how to fix this? thanks.
