Guest awarner (MVP) Posted August 23, 2008 Report Posted August 23, 2008 Just installed service pack 3 today and everything appeared ok. Decided to install a game on the old C550 but as soon as the game had installed a sudden bluescreen of death appeared and the pc rebooted itself. Just wondering if anyone else has had any issues with Sevice pack 3 and Activesync?
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted August 23, 2008 Report Posted August 23, 2008 Strange. :D Am running SP3 for 3 months now but haven't encountered BSOD while installing apps and games on old SP units.
Guest jimbouk Posted August 23, 2008 Report Posted August 23, 2008 IS it on an AMD64 processor? Service Pack 3 doesnt play nice with them.

Guest Chacu Posted August 24, 2008 Report Posted August 24, 2008 I have WinXP SP3 installed and am running a AMD64 processor. My systems been running like this since SP3 was released. The only problem I've noticed so far is with Active Sync. If I sync my Vario III and then unplug it before shutting down, my computer can't stop the sysfader.exe and will not turn off. If I leave my phone hooked up, the computer will turn off with no problems. Don't ask me why that is. I see it as a new feature from MS. :D Haven't encountered a BSOD though. Chacu
