Guest fastNugly Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 Install the attached CAB to replace the ugly 3G icon with a nicer one, and to replace 3G+ icon with a H icon! MoDaCo_QVGAHSDPAIcon.CAB I am having issues with my Omnia not switching over the 3G. It consistently stays in Edge/2G. My blackjack 2 was always in 3G. Pls advise on a way to get my Omnia to switch to 3G. Thanks
Guest natzakaria Posted September 15, 2008 Report Posted September 15, 2008 Maybe off track a little here - I have not seen 'E' on my phone unless i connect to the internet - is this normal?

Based on what you said I'm gonna take a wild guess and assume you're in north america, something like USA. If that is the case - the answer to your question is: dump the firmware from your phone, dissassemble it, reverse engineer the radio part, find the routine in bootloader which unlocks the north american UMTS frequencies 850/1900Mhz, patch it to allow those UMTS bands, compile it back, recreate the image and once you have this cooked ROM ready - flash your phone with it and after testing post the link for the rest of us ;) What I'm trying to say is Omnia i900 does not support the UMTS frequencies, used for 3G in north and parts of south america, it only supports UMTS 2100Mhz - No 3G for you.
Guest travegliaesogno Posted September 16, 2008 Report Posted September 16, 2008 I have a problem with battery indicator on top: is still remain full even when battery is at 10% . It shows battery icon also if a plug the wall charger. When i tap on it i read the real battery status. If i uninstall the cab, everything goes well. Any fix? Rom version XIHH5 Thanks in advance.
Guest chokia Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 (edited) Yeah i had the same problem too. I thought my charger not working but it's the cab is the culprit. After uninstalled all back to normal. Edited November 5, 2008 by chokia
Guest Zyxx Posted November 5, 2008 Report Posted November 5, 2008 Maybe off track a little here - I have not seen 'E' on my phone unless i connect to the internet - is this normal? Same here. Is that normal? [2] I don't think so, I have an eten M700 and it displays E all the time... Tried to change things in omnia but I can't get it to work that way!
Guest jonboyuk Posted November 16, 2008 Report Posted November 16, 2008 AH HA! The culprit to my battery problem!!! Shame. Can this be fixed Paul?
Guest bpivk Posted November 17, 2008 Report Posted November 17, 2008 (edited) Nice app. I really like the new PIN display. Edited November 17, 2008 by bpivk
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted November 17, 2008 Report Posted November 17, 2008 Battery problem, odd? Will look into it... P
Guest bluey09 Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 Hi, Tried this app but no luck .. the 3G icon is still there even after soft reset.. B) Thanks

I also have the same problem. The battery indicator shows full and i'd say it is smaller than the standard one. It doesn't solve even after uninstalling the cab. It doesn't change even when I plug the charger... the charging icon doesn't show up. I have DXHJ1 rom version. Edited November 18, 2008 by steff195
Guest bpivk Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 I didn't notice any change in the 3G icon because I'm in an area that has GPRS coverage only but i don't have a problem with the battery display. Firmware: DXHI1
Guest evil Homer 3k Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 I've got the battery problem as well. Plugged it into my car charger this morning and rather than showing the plug icon it stayed on the battery icon. Also S2U2 shows my batter as about three quarters, but battery icon shows its full. Think there must be a bug still. New icons look good though, especially the H replacing 3G+ (Could never quite see the +)
Guest steff195 Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 My problem was that i wasn't able to see any change after installing this, so i decided to uninstall it and then i saw the battery problem. So, instead of making my phone better, i made it worst. B)
Guest OsmanMuslu Posted November 18, 2008 Report Posted November 18, 2008 is it possible to change all the icons there on the start menu bar? like with some glossy edge-fixed smooth pngs? it would look great
Guest Emre SUMENGEN Posted November 22, 2008 Report Posted November 22, 2008 Anybody care to upload some screenshots? Both for the icons and the dialer, maybe? Love SPB Screenshot.
Guest goraceusta Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 Guys, after installing this cab my samsung wont connect to the internet anymore! Please help.
