Anyone seen a proposed release date or price for the Inspiron 910 (aka Inspiron mini)? It is meant to be imminent and the price could be excellent being Dell. Can't decide whether the proposed SSD only hard drive option is a good thing or bad thing, but is meant to ship with a 4 cell battery which is defnitely appealing.

Released today as the Dell Inspiron Mini 9

Has pretty much all the specs that have been touted on the web, including BT and a 4-CELL BATTERY.

However the keyboard looks as poor as the one on the Asus 901

I was looking closely at these yesterday and I think the MSI Wind is too big. The Asus 901 and Acer Aspire One are the sweet spot in terms of size and weight. However, the keyboard on the Asus 901 was impossible to type on. The Acer has a pretty good keyboard, by putting it right to the edges of the chassis and by reducing the trackpad height by half and moving the keys to the side. Makes the trackpad pretty hideous but I think I would probably use a mouse anyway, so I would take the horrible trackpad ahead of a horrible keyboard. Only downside to the Acer is the lack of BT - I have a BT mouse, which would have been perfect for this. The Dell, by having what appears to be a full size trackpad and keyboard that doesn't reach to the edge of the chassis much have a small keyboard.

Lenovo S9 is likely to be at least as expensive as the Acer and is rumoured to have a small keyboard as well and still no confirmation of release date.

So, I am decided. Acer it is. And I saw a 6-cell for £50 today, should I need it.
