Guest jimbouk Posted August 30, 2008 Report Posted August 30, 2008 Go to xda developers and read up on flashing. Flash Olinex's HARD SPL and then flash Dutty' latest rom. Then let the HTC connection set up manager run. Good luck.
Guest Neil5459 Posted August 31, 2008 Report Posted August 31, 2008 Continued from your other thread As Jimbo says- did you flash the correct HardSPL before the ROM update? Did the ROM update proceed fully (ie did you go through all the initial setups like screen alignment again?); does the Diamond work OK apart from the phone functions? After you did the ROM update, and the 'Customisations' screen ran, did you get the Network Setup wizard asking you to confirm your operator settings? When you say ROM 3, do you mean the TLR3 ROM? As you are with Vodafone, it is likely that your connection settings are not configured correctly. Try going to Start/Settings/Connections and run the Connection Setup program, if present. Here you can set your country and operator. If not present, it may have been left out by the ROM cook (I've not used TLR3 so don't know what's in or out, but it is quite old now by Diamond ROM standards!) I'd also suggest reflashing with the Dutty ROM 1.8; details Here which has been rock solid for me, and does include the Connection Setup wizard.
Guest morrg Posted September 2, 2008 Report Posted September 2, 2008 Hi, I had a similar problem and wasn't able to send text messages for two weeks. I solved it by ringing Orange and requesting they send the latest sim update to my phone. It seems the network setting wizard on the phone got some of the settings wrong or messed something up which stopped the messages sending. All worked perfectly once I received the sim update, switched phone off for half an hour then restarted it. Hope this helps. Matt
