How to get FTouchSL to Work with OMNIA i900 perfectly

1) Download and Install FTouchSL latest Version v2.7

2) goto -> Programs -> FTouchSL for configurations

3) Enable FTouch.....

4) Add Exception Programs:

a) Zoomer.exe (Add By Program)

****This is the part that causes the zoom to fail.... this app is actually at "\windows\zoomer.exe"

If you try to add by Program, FTouchSL hangs.... so please type "zoomer.exe" to add the program for exclusion:)

:( Opera9.exe (Add by program)

c) FoxItReader1230.exe (add by program)

**Highly Recommended to use FoxItReader as Adobe doesn't work quite well with omnia especially the zooming

d) TaskSwitcher.exe (add by program)

e) CallLog.exe (Add by Program)

f) SECContact.exe (Add by Program)

g) DioOCR.exe (Add By Title)

h) SmartConverter.exe (Add By Title)

i) tClock.exe (Add By Program)

j) PhotoSlides.exe (Add By Program)

k) Launcher.exe (Add By Program)

l) AddContact.exe (Add By Program)

m) ContentsManager.exe (Add By Program)

***Note Any program that can do Finger scrolling by itself should be excluded from FTouchSL

5) Set Scrolling Sensitivity to "4" default is higher..... putting it lower makes it more iphone alike :D

6) One last thing.... you may want to disable "Gestures" and "Active Corners".... it does help to make the device more responsive....

I'm very happy using FTouchSL with OMNIA.....it had just brought this iphone alike phone.... closer to FULL finger operation..

Other iphone alike launchers may offer very good visual experience but it just makes the device too laggy..... (i.e. Throttle Launcher, S2U2, Winterface and etc.)

I just need a simple finger scrolling app for all scrolling required on my omnia.... firstly OMNIA doesn't have a D-Pad !! and the scroll bars are too thin....(eventhough there is a registry hack).

Essential Softwares on my OMNIA....

1) ScreenOff

2) SoftReset

3) PimBackup

4) FoxItReader

5) GPSGate 2.6 (TO use GPS with Mapking)

6) FTouchSL

7) BatterGauge

Anyone have any recommendations for a SIMPLE, non clutter horizontal one-liner finger scrolling Today plugin app launcher ?

Anybody knows where or how to make a Y-Cable for both USB charging and 3.5mm Converter....HTC has something like this.....

This is essential!!! especially you are on a road trip..... the built-in battery cannot last the playback for 16Gb of songs :D

Anyway playback on this device maximum is 2Hrs :angry: just wonder if iPhone 3G is any better ??

Hi, no need to quote one page of text if you are just answering the topic dude :D

Ok, now:

1- You forgot the camera in your exclusion list :D

2- FTouchSL does not work at all with H1 rom, so no it definitely does NOT work perfectly !!!

3- H1 rom touch scrolling is FAR, FAR AWAY from what FTouchSL offers, so I want it back ! :angry:

yes, we need to find a way to disable the stock "touchflo" on Omnia, it is badly implemented.

I've be trying FTouchSL and FTouchFlo they seem to just cause problems.

The screen become less responsive at sometimes. Even after the settings mentioned here.

I am using wkTask and it's two guestures.

With FTouchSL that's the first thing that stops behaving correctly.

In HJ1 ROM the TouchFLO seems way better.

Hello!

To use Ultimate launcher normally it is recommended to disable scrolling for Today (put "Desktop" window to the excluded) and additionally don't use horizontal gestures on the Today. This way is only possible since FTouchSL can recognize different windows, but not different plug-ins on the Today. We are working on this issue and it will be solved in future versions.

pretty much. it just allows for better kinetic scrolling. pretty much all cooked ROMs for Omnia have it cooked in nowadays.

So, I see. But they told me, this also changes the way of navigations between screens/menus (by touching your finger on the corners and such).

Is it true?
