Creating Album Art for Touch Player

Hi. I was just wondering whether there's an easier way to create album art for my mp3s instead of manually naming the same jpeg file with the name of the music file. Can't I just put one image file for the whole album? I tried renaming the jpeg file with the name of the album folder but neither the touch player or windows media will recognize the jpeg file.

Yes, I guess I had the same question... I have seen now indeed that creating a jpg with the same name works, but is there a program or so to help with that (by providing the covers of the albums automatically or something like that)?

Anything that works at album level as natalie is asking?

It will automatic create that file after you trasfer to omnia

Ok... so I guess the image file is initially included in the mp3 file? Any recommendations of programs that do that (and are possibly linked to a database with album covers, like you have with other mp3 tags)?

Media Monkey is very efficient and easy to use.

Hi this is my first post so please be easy on me :D

As a bit of a noob with these things is it just a case of going to the media monkey website and downloading. Then copying the files to the storage on my phone and installing from there.

Many thanks

I dont get it. I sync 8 gb of music using WMP on my PC to the Omnia. It already has all the album art because the WMP on the Omnia shows it. How do I get Touch player to show it.

For example I have Abba Gold Vol 1 CD. What does the artwork need to be named as?

With touchplayer, I think the jpeg file/artwork needs to be the same name as the song. So if you want each song of Abba to display the album art, you have to have a separate jpeg file for EACH song. Say, your artwork is named Abba.jpeg and there are two songs on your album, dancing queen.mp3 and mama mia.mp3, in order for the album art Abba.jpeg to show when dancing queen and mama mia is being played, you have to copy Abba.jpeg to two and then rename it to dancing queen.jpeg and mama mia.jpeg.

I've done that with my Norah Jones album which is a bit of a pain. I haven't figured out how to do that in Media Monkey since I already copied the album on my hard drive and it's only a matter of creating the album art for each song.

I solved this on my i900. I use WMP on my PC, so the album art was already there, just called Album Art 1234556 etc and the file was invisible. I used Resco File Explorer and set to show hidden files. I then renamed all 8gb of musci album art files to folder.jpg and voila . Works in i900 Touch player and i900 WMP. Just bloody slow scrolling in Touch player Album art view.

you manually went through and changed every album art to folder.jpg? Did you then drag across using FIle explorer or using 'Sync' from windows Media Player?

I found that for lots of albums I already have a folder.jpg but when I use WMP11 to sync music across it doesn't copy folder.jpg, only the albumart*.jpg. BUt i did notice this morning that it has created one jpg with the same name as the song in my whole album, this is the on

e song I have played, so perhaps it creates this jpg from album art when it plays the song?

Hi There

If you rename your album art to folder and place into the album folder it will show that image on all of the songs relating to that folder in your touch player.

i just copy songs over from my itunes....it will then create the jpg files for the songs and the cover art displays. but the thing is when i open my photo gallery, it shows all those images as well. so tiring as i have hmm about 700 songs and thats a lot of nonsensical pictures that pop up too haha

Get All Your Cover Art On Omnia Touch Player ~ Using Windows Media Player To Sync Your Phone.

I just Got the Omnia and was clueless how to sync my files without wanting to smash it! I was especially heated to see only one or two of my cover art show up on the Touch Player & Media Player on the phone. This is what I found to work (actually pretty easy ~ after messing with it for 3 days). Open regular Windows Media Player on your P.C./ I eventually abandoned the sync software that came with the phone ~ mad sync errors. You can leave it installed (I chose not to). NOTE: this may not work if you still have other 'sync' programs installed (I don't know). You first have to re-arrange the way your music files are listed in Windows Media Player (on your P.C.) for the phone to show the cover art. On the main Windows Media Player page (on your P.C.) that shows all your media files, hit the 'Sync' arrow down button (top right). Hit 'More Options' on the pop-down menu. On the menu that opens on the upper left find the 'Rip Music' tab and hit that. Then it should say 'rip music to this location' and show your music file (make sure it's the file that contains your music). Hit the 'File Name' tab. In the next box that pops-up arrange everything from top to bottom like this: (Album - Artist - Song Title - Track - Genre - Bitrate) Make sure you use the dash as a seperator. Hit O.K. and go back to the 'Library' arrow down button on the top middle of the main page. Hit that and go to 'Apply media information changes' - hit O.K. ~ If you go to your original 'My Music' file on your computer where your original files are stored (not in Media Player) all the folders should display your artwork. Make sure you've deleted every music file from your phone! Now plug in your phone via USB cable to your P.C. ~ Close any other 'sync' software that opens. Use the guide to sync all music to your phone with Windows Media Player. It is a lot slower process but everything should show up! Worked for me if you follow the steps. Hope this helps people!!!

Or you could just go to xda-developers and look for a program called Album Art and it downloads album art to any directory you choose.

Yes , its awfully slow!

It's a ROM thing. I use HL3 and the scrolling is fast as it can get. :) Also new effects added.

Same in IA1 version. But I find HL3 version better, overall. Just have a go!
