Need help setting the phone up for wifi browsing

Hi all!

My questions is>

What are the right settings to be able to browse with WiFi only??

I can establish a connection with my router, but both of my browsers stay "blind". :D

Do you have any security set up on your router, or are you allowing connections on the router based on MAC address etc. If you can connect/see the router but get no further then it sounds like your router is not allowing the connection.

Also try the following:

go to settings/conections/wi-fi

you should then see your router and the status "connected".

Tap the connection and you will then be able to set the "connects to" value. This is set as "The Internet"

tap next and set the required security settings for your connection (wep etc.)

Next again, and then finish.

then "ok" to return to the connections page.

Click "browser connection"

Ive cleared the "automatically detect" box and then set the "select Network" as "Internet"

click ok, and you should be set to browse :D

For some reason, when I connected to my router it didnt give me a "connect to" choice. So i could set my browser to connect to the "Internet" or "Work" but couldnt set the WiFi connection. :D

BUT! I did a hard reset and now I can choose the connection for the WiFi as well. Now explain that. Anyway, everything seems to be working fine now.
