S2U2 Issue

I installed S2U2 when I got my handset, but for some reason I un-installed it the same day.

Now I want to reinstall it, but when I run the cab it just stalls at the beginning of the installation. Are there any reg entries that I need to edit or remove to clean up from the previous install? If so, how do I get to them?

As you seem to be a Slide to Unlock user, can you help a total newbie to windows mobile phones (me :D ).

I downloaded and installed this, and it does indeed seem to lock the phone after the preset time etc, an I can unlock it with the slide just fine, but can I get the program to work by holding down the hang up button.

If I hold down the hang up button to lock the phone, it locks it the normal way, then Slide to Unlock kicks in, resulting in the phone being "double locked".

Is there any way to replace the standar lock with S2U2 completely?

I don't have any idea on the can't install problem but, for Chester.

If you really like S2U2, just do what I do,

don't use the standard lock by holding down the hang up button anymore.

Instead, set S2U2 to lock at wake up.

All you need to do to lock then is to press the power button to go to standby. This is of course, after you have set in

Start->Settings->Personal->Buttons ->Wake up

Select wake up device by pressing power button only.

Thanks for the replys guys - made the changes and its running great.

Now just a couple more things id like to get sorted with the phone and I think it will be just perfect.

In response to David C on the install error, I unistalled mine previously and have just reinstalled to my storage without any issues.

Have you tried a soft reset after uninstalling it previously?

Failing that perhaps try copying the cab back over again?

hi do you guys encounter any sound loss problem?

as in your phone would just went into mute mode even though the volume is set to the loudest.

then you preform a soft reset the sound would come back

Fixed it. I recopied the CAB and ran it again. I had to rename the CAB as for some reason a 0kb file with the same filename keeps re-appearing on my MicroSD card everytime I delete it. Still, it's fixed now.

By the way. Does anyone know how to get the weather modes working on this s2u2 application. I have noticed these in the settings but nothig shows when I set them. Many thanks.
