New ROM and Unique Device ID

I want to flash my device with the t-mobile ROM but have a worry about the device ID.

TomTom and Skyscape both generate a unique device ID to enable their products to be unlocked with an unlock code.

Has anyone who has used one of these ROM's any experience with either of the above products? Did it change the device ID?

I ask because I once changed the ROM on an HTC P3600 and TomTom would not allow the maps to be unlocked even though it was the same device. I also have several hundred pounds worth of Skyscape titles which would be unusable if the device ID changed. (they are pretty good with new codes but having just changed.....they might not be too keen so soon)

From memory a ROM update will change the device ID (certainly did in the past)

With TomTom as long as there has been a six month break from the last time you requested a code you should be able to get another code from them.
