Guest PaulD76 Posted September 9, 2008 Report Posted September 9, 2008 Hello Maybe i am not being too clever, but i cannot find Google Maps on my omnia. I look in the manual and it says to go \ START \ Programs \ Google Map... but I dont see that!! ggrrr.. Any ideas? I got the vodafone Find & go but that says it not available yet.. ggrr cheers for any tips
Guest Dan Sansome Posted September 9, 2008 Report Posted September 9, 2008 i think vodafone are in the process of putting their own front end on the google maps app and calling it find and go, hence why the voda bods have decided to strip their omnias of the google maps app. i have google maps running on my voda omnia and its great, cant wait until the find and go app is available, just to see how it compares. try http://www.google.com/intl/en_uk/mobile/gmm/index.html for info, or go to www.google.co.uk/gmm on your mobile browser to download the installer. only takes a few seconds to do. (less than 1mb for the installer) enjoy ;)
Guest CoolHotCold Posted September 10, 2008 Report Posted September 10, 2008 Dan Sansome, some people have had trouble adding in Googlemaps as it doesnt reconise their device and installs a java version...
