when building an unmodified ROM after extracting it using ExtractROM_exe.cmd by dragging the os.nb file onto BuildROM.cmd, the following error pops up while "processing SYS/SYS"

Error

The file 'temp\dump\.ROM\imageinfo.bin' already exists.

then the building process stops.

file attributes problem again?

Hi all,

When I repack my hex-edited CSC.CSC file (along with eboot.nb0, pda.bin & phone.bin) into an exe and launch it, I get cFile.open failed error as soon as I click START on the userdownloader..

But I can successfully flash it (the CSC) using grandprix.

If I rename it to CSC.BIN, it is just ignored and won't pack in..

Would you know what's wrong ? Filename, filesize maybe ?

Thank you very much

edit: problem solved, not sure how..

Thank you Paul

Ok now, does someone know how to edit the CSC part of a rom ?

Many stuff we need to customize lay there...

Unfortunately not, being able to do so would be very useful! Or even extracting a CSC would help, so we can just flash without a CSC...?

Hi all!!

Sorry for my English but I will try to do the best that I can!

Paul, do you have a tutorial to "cook a rom"?? I was read all this posts but I don't know how to add/remove programs like .net 2.0.

Can you help me?

to remove netCF2.0, you have to make sure you have the netCF3.5 OEM package, then remove the old version under SYS folder and add the new one in OEM. Most settings should be in the netCF folder so you should not need to modify other entries.

Paul can you show us how you optimize the apps in your custom ROM?
