If anyone wants to play with my custom DXHJ1 ROM, which features:

- CF2 out, CF3.5 in

- Batti in

- AppToDate in

- Windows Update out

- Welcome Center out

- Shozu out

- Some other unnecessary files out

- Optimisations to file sizes

- 101.46MB TOTAL STORAGE

then check out the link below (PDA part, for flashing via Grand Prix after flashing the full DXHJ1 update).

Note that streaming player is broken until we can extract the DXHJ1 CSC file.

This is more for curiosity really, it's what i'm using until I get the new HJ5 ROM from Secany.

Enjoy!

PS Thanks to mrtoto (@ pdamobiz?), everyone else who made this possible especially secany for working tirelessly to bring the latest updates to Omnia users!

Using Resco Explorer's right click - copy function (normal file explorer won't work I imagine), copy this DLL (after unzipping) to your Windows directory and problem solved!

:D

secstres96.dll.zip

Works like a charme! Thanks!

Will go on further test.

PDAMobiz have a ROM up too. This is really just an interim test ROM to test my methods before I do a proper job on the forthcoming HJ5 ROM.

That said, all working OK for me (slight Samsung Today 2 caveat aside!), nice and fast with the bits I like and a nice lot of free storage...

OK, i'm on Paul's rom now. :D

It is faster than the original HJ1, and get impressive 101.46MB Storage(73MB free!), boot up free ram is around 60 MB.

Oooh, I am so tempted to flash this interim ROM and try Manila with it.

On HJ1 I started with 56MB free and have about 24MB free after installing my own stuff. With something like this, I should be able to install all my own stuff plus Manila and still have room to grow.

Yup, and I'm the first <_< . Still not too sure what's wrong, I suspect it's something to do with the pkgtool, but I've tried different versions and all have same results or worse.

Paul, do you think you can upload your package tool and OEM/SYS files. At least then we can tell if that's the reason or if it's during the rebuilding which breaks something...

Cheers.

Hi Paul

Can you give a .exe version , even if it is XP version ( including the solutions for the icons in Today 1 and 2 ) ?

It is easier and safer for many of us than using the GP.

Thanks in advance

Guest yunsmet

Thank Mr.Paul !

My i900 works great with your custom rom.

Chinese fonts are not included, so i flashed the original CSC (DZHJ1) file and installed the fonts.

As you said, Streaming Player works well after CSC flashed.

Storage: Total 101.46

Many thanks!
