Hi Everyone,

Well this is my first post since joining the forum, fairly new to the WM platform (came from N95's). Just recently sold the Touch Diamond i got on upgrade from Orange, and now the proud owner of an Omnia!!

Absolutely loving the phone, have yet to perform a flash to a newer rom (even though i did plenty of flashing with the Diamond), so i'm currently running PDA-XXHG5/MSHG1 and PHONE-XXHG5 which is the current Orange shipping rom (networked locked i hasten to add - purchased on 30.8).

Anyways, back to my problem. I've successfully downloaded a podcast (57.3Mb) using the Samsung inbuilt Podcast program, and saved it to My Storage (the 16GB internal hard drive). Now the problem, when i try and download another podcast (57.3Mb) it says 'there is not enough disk space on My Storage'!!! I've checked with file explorer to see if there are any huge files taking up space, and used the search function within the Memory program and i still have over 12GB free space on My Storage.

Has anyone experienced the same problem? Should i do a Hard Reset and start again? I've tried doing a soft reset but this makes no difference.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I guess you have already done this, but might as well check again.

In the podcast program, go to Menu -> Options and then make sure the Download Storage is set to "My Storage".

If it already is, try changing it first, use the program (or soft reset), then change it back again. I'm not sure if that would work though. I hope it does!

Hi warnold007,

Yes, i've tried all of the above and it didn't work..............until NOW!! I don't know what i've done as ive had the phone on charge while trying to get my 11month old daughter back to sleep. I have soft reset the phone once as i was modding a sys.txt file for iGO8 (great app - successfully working), and now it says download failed for any podcast. Exited the app, restarted the app and all seems to be fine now.....how bizarre!!

I'll keep everyone posted once this download has finished to see if i get the error message again (hoping that i won't have to do umpteen soft resets between downloads).

Thanks again

UPDATE - Well that seemed to work but the download failed at 11Mb out of 55Mb. Subsequent attempts all result in download failed, even though this message takes some time (as if it's trying and timing out maybe?).

More updates as i try to solve this issue

UPDATE - Well all does indeed seem to be well. Have successfully downloaded 2 more podcasts (both 55Mb) so there we are, i don't know what else to say, other than a few soft resets and problem solved.

Laterz, off to bed now ;)

Well it once again seems i spoke too soon. Tried to download the remainder of the podcasts this morning and each one instantly jumps to 'download failed'!! Very annoying ;)

Any new suggestions - surely it can't need soft resets between various downloads? Can it?

Try BeyondPod 3.1.0 application. Freeware and excellent.

I have to agree with Jow Mckenzie, the built in Podcast program has never worked right for me. a lot of the times it would kill the download because the phone would go into standby. Or just whenever. Another decent program is NewsGator GO! It's a RSS reader, but it has podcast support as well. It's cool because you can set everything up on your computer, via a website, and then log into that (free) account with the program on your phone. Makes adding links to your phone a snap.
