Guest kennyken444 Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 Hey guys, ive had my Omnia for just over a week now and so far im really enjoying it, apart from a couple of issues. the biggest of which is the following. A couple of times i have woken up to a reminder going off on the phone, however the matter how many times i press the wake/mousepad button it wont wake up. i say it wont wake up, i think it is actually awake as i can feel the vibrations when touching the screen its just the screen is completely black. The only way ive found to get passed this is to turn the phone off and on again and then its ok. Now this is really annoying as it just happened again when i received a phone call and i couold answer it with the answer key but the other person couldnt hear me. Has anyone else had anything like this or should i be returning it to vodafone for an exchange? Thanks for your help Ken
Guest Deroo Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 I had this problem. I had a previous rom. I upgraded to DXHH3 and I don't have the issue anymore.
Guest kennyken444 Posted September 11, 2008 Report Posted September 11, 2008 Ah ok, i reckon i will have to upgrade my rom at some point - especially as a vodafone omnia has been done. I was holding back due to the warranty thing but i may just bite the bullet. Cheers
Guest GSeeker2 Posted September 12, 2008 Report Posted September 12, 2008 I think it's a common bug. It happens in many roms, including HH1, HH3 and others. Sometimes i have to press the Power button first, and then press the D-pad button to wake up the phone. One thing freaks me out is after some hard-resets/reflashes, the problem will be gone!
Guest evilworm Posted September 13, 2008 Report Posted September 13, 2008 (edited) I have the same issue... I upgraded to the latest HH3 firmware, but the problem is still here. The screen never switches on again if the phone is not used for more than 5 minutes, however it responds if touchscreen is used and I can answer incoming phone calls. Any suggestions? edit: Somehow the device locks in the suspend mode more frequently if I have a lot of stuff on the today screen, e.g. if I use samsung's today 2 screen or SPB Mobile Shell Edited September 13, 2008 by evilworm
