Flashing my Omnia from XXHG5 on Vista?

Hey guys, just been reading through a lot of threads on here, and no-one seems to have answered this.

is it possible, as I have downloaded a few updates, the only one that loads on Vista for me is the one from the samsung servers (DXHG4)

I was kinda put off flashing this version though, as I don't know wether or not it's a newer version to what I already have.

I have:

Omnia 8gb

PDA: i900XXHG5/MSHG1

Phone: i900XXHG5

Any help would be greatly appreciated

From what i know it is not possible to update on vista. I believe its something to do with the Samsung Modem Driver needed for the update. Also Your current ROM is newer than DXHG4. Im running identical ROM XXHG5 and am considering upgrading to DXHH3, this is the newest most stable ROM.

Samsung has the modem driver for Vista.

However you also need the ROM updater made for Vista - they have like update_name_xp.exe, but you need update_name_vista.exe

Currently there is a French update for under Vista available on Samsung official site, its of version HH2.

No worries people, I resolved the issue by borrowing a mates XP disc and making my system dual boot.

Omnia niow flashed and running DXHH3 ;)
