Hi, im currently using my samsung omnia, have a few problems with it but nothing too major bug wise but would it be worth updating the PDA and PHONE rom?

Im currently using version

PDA: i900DXHH1

And PHONE: i900XXHG5

what will the benefits be to the upgrade bug fixes etc if they are known, ive read the other thread but i cant work out which ROMS are newer and working great compared to the one i currently have

thank you very much! Look forward to hopefully updating! ;)

Hi.

I'm on the same ROM as you and everything's working pretty well.

Both my upgrades crashed when they got to the PHONE part which is worrying.

I've asked for advice on this a few times now here but no replies/comments.

.... so i think i'm going to play it safe and wait for the official ROM's on the Samsung site - just in case i end up bricking my phone and my warranty at the same time!

yer, thats exactly what i thought! have you ever tried using spb pocket plus on this firmware? it seems to cause mayor problems with my backlight, it never goes off unless i put it into sleep mode, the power settings dont seem to work any more and its only since installing this, just thought a rom update might sort this out but think im best just uninstalling it

No, all i've added is Mobile Shell which is great, apart from a few annoyances and sms-chat, which again is good but think i need to install FunContacts to make this work properly.

I wonder how long it'll be until Samsung release a major update on their UK site?
