Guest kersey Posted September 17, 2008 Report Posted September 17, 2008 Hello all, Have been trying for the last few days to flash my Omnia's firmware but to no success. It's from Orange, unlocked with the HG5 firmware. Have tried changing the phone to Singapore setting and flashing via the official Samsung site with the firmware on there via Windows Vista but it says something along the lines of 'invalid software version'. So I decided to try and flash it in work on an XP machine as per all the great information on this site, I installed activesync, the xp usb drivers, I plug in the phone, it recognises it's plugged in but will not sync, it won't let me access the phone to transfer any music, data etc so therefore cannot flash it as it doesn't let me access it. The only sign of it being attached to the pc is an icon in 'My computer' called 'phone' but when I click on that it doesn't do anything. Could someone please help...i really need haptic feedback on the samsung keyboard (and also the other advantages of the HH3 firmware) so that I know my text messages are being typed correctly as at the moment my messages have letters missing, double letters as it's never certain whether the letters were pressed. Thanks in advance for any help
