Hi Guys,

I've just this afternoon received my i900 and am looking to get the most from it straight off the bat by upgrading the firmware to the best that you suggest. The phone is currently on:

PDA: i900XXHG5

PHONE: i900XXHG5

But after reading about (and getting a little confused) it seems like DXHH3 + XXHI2is a good choice? I live in the UK and the phone is unbranded if that helps at all?

All answers appreciated

I am sticking with G5 for now, battery life is brilliant and the only thing which is letting it down is the haptic feedback. It is also slightly slower than newer roms but nothing massive.

I'd wait until official UK release.

Thx for the info. Do any of the newer roms fix any issues i'm likey to come across. I'm already havign major problems getting the i900 to connect to my wifi at home, whereas my old SE P1i had no problems.

...also ...where are all the games..my missus was most disappointed to find it had practicaly none ;)

connecting to wifi is a doddle, just input your key (case sensitive)

its win mo device, so meant mostly as a business device. there are thousands of games out there though.

Hi, i also started with your firmware/ROM but upgraded to DXHH1 so am now on ...

PDA: i900DXHH3

PHONE: i900XXHG5

(for some reason my install failed both with HH1 and HH3 for the PHONE part?!?)

Despite more battery drainage, HH1 (& HH3) provide MUCH better typing accuracy, speed etc BUT if i were you i'd wait for the official Samsung release as lots of people have fried their phones.

I seem lucky to a certain extent but aren't go to take any more risks.

Stick with it for now.

Hi @all 1st post in this best Omnia Forum

I bought my Omnia in Luxemburg with a German FW installed on it.

PDA I900XGHG5/BHHG6

TEL I900XXHG3

Unlockek and no branding.

Now I would flash an official English Rom with 100% success on VISTA.

What ROM can I take and is it worth upgrading.

For now I'm 75% satisfied with my ROM, the only thing about is that TT7 don't work without GPSGate and WIFI reception is poor.

greetings

i too started with version GH5 (uk 02), an the only thing bothering me was the haptic feedback, and different rotation animations, so 2 weeks later took the plunge and flashed to HH3, and was very unimpressed, battery life in GH5 was ok, in HH3 was very very poor. but haptic feedback was there, and the rotation animations. 2 days after i flashed to HH3, HI1 was available thanks to secany, so more confident in flashing i done it once again. and have to say have never looked back, this is definatley the most stable rom, and battery life is excellent, (depentant on settings), better than HG5 in my opinion.

after reading some of the posts on here about phones being bricked, i have to say i crapped myself the first time, but all went well. should i have waited for an official uk rom? maybe... but im impatient. so if you can wait then wait. but i believe its worth going for it.. it fixes so many other bugs that i havent mentioned.
