Guest Massive Attack Posted September 17, 2008 Report Posted September 17, 2008 I used to do BT Sync with my PPC2003SE via BT, my PPC have serial port service listed in its BT services. unfortunately with omnia, I had no luck with BT cause omnia only have 3 services, PAN, OBEX File Transfer and Push Object, it doesnt offer the serial port service, which ActiveSync use. now im interested with PAN, i not that really well versed with BT but can I use PAN for ActiveSync? any thouhgts here?
Guest Ingvarr Posted September 17, 2008 Report Posted September 17, 2008 Not sure for XP, but with Vista you have to setup it opposite way - find your computer from Omnia, then you should see ActiveSync service on computer. Then just run ActiveSync on Omnia and choose Sync via Bluetooth in menu - it will connect to PC and sync.

To be exact, needed bt service not named "serial port", but "activesync". Maybe it still using serial BT profile underneath, but it processed slightly differently by bt stack. I was not able to sync via serial port. I had to remove toshiba bt stack from my notebook and replace it with original MS one, only then phone seen "ActiveSync" service on my notebook.
