How to extract a ROM image?

I have managed to dump my ROM but I keep getting permission denied when trying to extract it with dumprom, any ideas what I am doing wrong?

Sorry, I've never used this tool... Just stumbled onto the thread today ;) . 'Permision denied' usually points to a 'user rights' issue, or Read-Only issue. Make sure the extracted file is not read-only ?

Nope file is not Read-Only. And I am logged in on XP as Admin ;)

Would be great if I could get this ROM dumped and packed up so us Voda users can keep our warranties by flashing back to it :wacko: (Thats if we can actually 'downgrade' the ROM, which from reading posts here we can?)

Has anyone tried to extract the ROM from their Omnia with itsutils? How to dump HTC Kaiser ROM

I have used this successfully before with a HTC Orbit2 and wondered if this is still applicable to the Omnia and then the leading question - how about re-creating the ROM file to load back to the phone?
