Hi all, I've had the Omnia for a week or so and love most of it, gettting to grips with some of it and hate the ass off a part of it. When I'm inputting text with samsung phonepad (mainly for texting as I'm used to it) I get a lot of suggested words that look like...well they look like anything but English, which is a pain in the ass as its time consuming to find the right words. And on that point the English ditionary also doesn't recognise certain words that you would expect it to, such as "tonight" as an example as I just tried it lol

Also when I go into - settings - input - and try to set phonepad as default for entering text it blanks out the keyboard "input" icon on the settings menu. Does that mean anything? I downloaded (and paid for) the spb full keyboard to get around this but that damn thing doesn't work on my Omnia, its all distorted.

Can anybody help the noob boy ;) Thanks peeps

Also check up language that set in XT9 settings.

Yeah I am pretty sure. Its so bloody annoying as it gives a mixture of english words and some kinda polish looking words and the ditionary recognises some everyday words but doesn't recognise lots of other everyday stuff. I may burn the handset in a sacrificial ceremony if I can't work this out. Please guys, can you tell me what should be done/ how it should be set so that I can rule stuff out.

Well, if nothing work, hard reset is always an option.

Or even a ROM upgrade ;)

Hiya, yeah I still have it on xxhg5 for both phone and pda, problem is active sync wont work on my XP machine but wmdc works fine on my vista laptop, but I've heard not to flash with vista. Is that right?

To be honest I'd crap myself anyway as I've not flashed anything before ;)
