Guest Weasley Posted September 21, 2008 Report Posted September 21, 2008 Hello I have set up a DLNA Media Server to sync my music and video to my Omnia, but every time i click to play the file i selected. It said Select Rendere - No Item Found. Can anyone kindly help me.
Guest jonboyuk Posted September 21, 2008 Report Posted September 21, 2008 My server always responds "Network busy" when I try to play music off my laptop! Any ideas?
Guest jazzyuk Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 Hi Weasley, Did you find a solution to 'Select Renderer' Issue? I have exactly the same issue. Any help, greatly appreciated. Cheers Jazz
Guest bodya Posted October 2, 2008 Report Posted October 2, 2008 Hi Weasley, Did you find a solution to 'Select Renderer' Issue? I have exactly the same issue. Any help, greatly appreciated. Cheers Jazz The same problem. I try to found "what are DLNA renders", but without useful results.
Guest Massive Attack Posted October 2, 2008 Report Posted October 2, 2008 The same problem. I try to found "what are DLNA renders", but without useful results. you guys need a software on your desktop/laptop to be the contact point of DLNA in omnia, now this 2 will talk, on your desktop, you have to set your shared folder INSIDE the software, NOT on windows explorer. look here for a list of DLNA software for desktop, ive only used 1 of them, and its hard to use, id rather share a folder inside windows explorer on desktop and map that folder in my omnia using file explorer or resco explorer.

Thing is.. rendering ie streaming should packet compress and stream from your twonky/tversity server. Omnia finds the Twonky server.. shows the file with size and run time.. but when you select it to play.. it prompts up with "select renderer" this needs something installed on the omnia as a renderer.... that is what everyone is lacking.
Guest adzrm Posted December 15, 2008 Report Posted December 15, 2008 i have same problem.. no renderer... solution found?
Guest s81 Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 Interesting program... It would be amazing if we could stream videos directely from the PC without downloading them! Any solution found??
Guest Neil5459 Posted January 2, 2009 Report Posted January 2, 2009 i have same problem.. no renderer... solution found? As far as I'm aware there are currently no DLNA programs available for the WinMo platform. Access Solutions were working on one, but it has to be provisioned at operator level in the ROM, and has not yet be taken up. I eventually abandoned my Buffalo DLNA setup due to the lack of supported platforms and devices. You will probably need to revert to a Windows file/media sharing protocol.

Don't know if anyone is still following this but Windows 7, and an Xbox connected using Media Center to it, are DMRs (Renderes)! Also so are a massive amount of devices, if you go to thedigitallifestyle.com I've written a lot about it and you can find out more. Si
Guest wiggy6230 Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 Hi, Where can I get the DLNA software for my phone, I dont want a new ROM as I like the 1 I have? Cheers Doug
