Guest frottage Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 (edited) I have an upgrade on the way and im considering my options currently I have an s710 vox and im very happy with that especially the exchange synchronisation looking around recently I have come across the "soon-to-be-launched" Sony C905 and from what i can see its practically a smartphone. ok its not windows mobile - but it does have "active sync" and wifi and gps and a whopping 8.1 MP camera with auto focus etc etc so my questions are how good is SE active sync - does it support full push email ? contacts sync as well as diary ? what are the downsides of going back to an ordinary phone from a WM phone ? Guest awarner (MVP) Posted September 22, 2008 Report Posted September 22, 2008 From what I have read on the C905 is that it does not have the normal Activesync but Exchange ActiveSync which is a server side version enabling you to sync with an Exchange server. So for home use you may need the Sony Ericsson PC Suite instead. more information can be found HERE Things you may miss are the wide range of applications the Wm has to offer. The C905 is Java based so somethings will be available but some people do not like Java applications Not a bad device though.
