Guest matteandhue Posted September 23, 2008 Report Posted September 23, 2008 I have some lnk shortcuts in my start-up folder under /Windows. They are the following: ConfigXML.lnk FactBoot.lnk lpad.lnk TimeWizard.lnk TranslationMSGstr.lnk Are these safe to delete from startup? Will they speed up my device if I do? What are they for anyways? Anybody know, and has anyone else removed them? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks! -matteandhue
Guest thelostsoul Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 I wouldn't. I'm not certain on their exact functionality, but I once deleted some of the default startup items on another WM device, and wound up having too do a full reset to restore a few things. If you wanna try it out tho, simply backup your stuff, then move them out one by one and see if anything stops working. I'd recommend against it though.
