am i missing something here?

hi there,

yea bassicly ive been trying to hook my i600 to my laptop which is running vista, ok firstly i plug my phone into the laptop via usb data cable and i get nothing showing on my computer as a mass storage drive, ive also tried running the active sync within vista and it doesnt detect anything

so anyway i downloaded vistas version of active sync (windows mobile centre) and although the program looks good its exacly the same and doesnt detect or show anything.....

i use the internet sharing on my phone so i can get online on ny laptop and that works fine but obviously that doesnt use activesync,

do i need the cd thats comes with the phone if so can i download it anywhere?

really driving me insane because i have so much software i wanna try out but cant transfer it accross without activesync or mass storage,
