2G-3G Switching

Is there an easy way of switching between 3G and 2G?

Have been spoilt with the comm manager on HTC roms, the wireless manager seems weak in comparison.

Have tried 'Bandswitch' but that doesn't seem to work.

Any other (freeware) utils for this?
