Text messages, backup???

does anyone know where text messages are stored? and how to make a backup?

for example if you do a hard reset, or install new rom you lose all messages, and i would like to back them up.

you can use the MITs Wizard software that came with the omnia on the cd in the box

this can backup all your contacts and text messages ect then restore them ive used it a few times and its real easy to backup and restore with it

or you can use pimbackup for ppc. It backups all , call logs, message and so on into 1 file.

Yup I use PIM backup as well. Fast, easy to use and free. Just do a google search for "PIM backup v2.8".

I am trying to get this to work but I get errors that the specific fles such as contacts cannot be added to the backup. Any ideas why?
