Opera Browser on T-mobile UK supplied Omnia

Hello everyone here. I got an upgrade from T-mobile UK recently but can't help but notice that the image quality on the Opera browser is well below par.

Where on a unbranded Omnia you get to adjust image quality under Display settings (inside Opera), this isn't an option on my T mobile branded one. Is there a way to enable the setting?

Also, is it possible to flash a locked handset? I treid using the onscreen keypad input *#1546792*# to try to change the regional setting without success presumably due to network lock.
