Guest chuti98 Posted September 25, 2008 Report Posted September 25, 2008 dont just be give up mate because they all bought unlock phone even me upgrade from orange but the phone is unlock.. in my opinion you may try to flash full rom might be help but i'm not sure
Guest martin1234 Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 thanks for your input cheers
Guest Reuben (MY) Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 if the phone is lock to certain ISP, you'll have to buy unlock code. will this post of Paul (MVP) helps? if only it's due to wrong regional setting, then it worth a try. Change Regional Setting Press the 'dial' key to the left of the optical pad to bring up the dialer With the onscreen keypad input *#1546792*# Select 'Preconfiguration' Enter code *#81230*# and select OK Select your country, with the default Operator Accept this, DEVICE WILL HARD RESET (need to wait a while without any response, but it will soon be rebooted) if everything ok then maybe you can try reflashing new rom.

Guest ernajj Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 hi got my omnia today checked the lock viewer and it is in network lock enabled mode, do i unlock it buy code,(do they work) or do i have to flash it , thank you Hi, I got my new branded T-mobile UK omnia yestarday - the omnia is locked. i took a leap of faith and flashed to HI1. all went smooth, but i can tell you the omnia is still locked, and i'm also w8ing for the code to unlock it. so as concluded flashing won't solve the simlock problem. Good day.
Guest martin1234 Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 hi how did you flash it , and is it a better firmware many improvments ? thanks for posting
Guest ernajj Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 hi how did you flash it , and is it a better firmware many improvments ? thanks for posting Hi, i just followed the instruction on the thread regarding the new rom. downloaded and installed the samsung modem driver, and followed what was written. currently i can't compare the two roms, because the old one was installed for a day ( i got the device thursday evening). and also it is still sim locked. but maybe you can wait with flashing, because soon a newer version should arrive ( HI2, according to secany topic), so maybe you could upgrade directly to that version.

Guest Borce Georgiev Posted December 2, 2008 Report Posted December 2, 2008 Try this one, it work on most samsung phones Call 112 and during calling press *2767*3855#. After phone restarts type *7465625*638*00000000*00000000#, then #7465625*638*00000000#. Maybe it will work

Do not be an idiot and trust this information. It's not funny. I realise you've probably just copied it and not known any better though.

Maybe it will work 112 in indeed the international emergency number and *2767*3855# is the factory reset (hard reset) code for the omnia, at least according to posts here refering to other samsung models (and on samsung-omnia.org). In this post http://www.modaco.com/content/i900-omnia-h...ia-diagnostics/ there are a lot of codes and explantions which I have not tested. But that post confirms that: *#7465625# - (Executes WindowsPersonalize.exe %LOCK_STATUS_INFO) Shows the status of the Network, Service Provider, SIM or Corporation lock. I've tested it and it works, without the need for the hard reset or dialling 112. Just dial *#7465625#. It also seems that here those settings can be altered - I have not tested for fear of a hard reset. Check out the link. It has a lot of info. edit: ok, I've tried the sim lock viewer code, but now I have a question: sim/usim shows unlocked, as well as service provider and corporate, but network lock is active. What does this mean? Can I use sim cards from other operators? My phone is branded, btw. Edited December 7, 2008 by nalpt
Guest mike1900 Posted December 3, 2008 Report Posted December 3, 2008 Your phone is locked to the Operator's Network you bougth the phone. You can't use sim from other operators. edit: ok, I've tried the sim lock viewer code, but now I have a question: sim/usim shows unlocked, as well as service provider and corporate, but network lock is active.
