A Newbie with an Omnia

Hey there,

I've just my Omnia a couple of days ago and I'm pretty much hyped about it. I'm kind of a computer geek myself, I do a lot of programming of sorts (and the ease of programming the WM is what made me go for Omnia) but this is my first experience with a Pocket PC. I've been browsing these forums for info for the past couple of days and really found it to be really helpful at times. Though there are things that're not too clear and and I'd really appreciate it if you were to help me clarify.

My Omnia version is i900JUHH2/JUHH2 (PDA) and i900JVHH2. As you might've guessed I got the phone from Turkey and the transation SUCKS! I hate crappy work done like that and I really don't mind losing the itty bitty Turkish keyboard that got in there so I've been thinking about doing a ROM update to an English version. Also, I do have a couple of problems with the device, getting a few exceptions out of the blue, and it heating up too much... I've read good things about DCHI1 and was wondering if I'd be able to update to this with the version fix and the exe provided.

Another issue I think I have is the touch player. Is it possible to install codecs that'll make it play VBR mp3's or similar stuff? Also, is it normal for it to process a bit when I switch albums or is it because I use hi-res (very hi-res) jpegs for album art?

And, when WM7 pops up, will we be able to use it on Omnia?
