Guest Paul (MVP) Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 If I told you a few years ago that you would be running a version of Photoshop on your Windows Mobile device, you would have called me a lunatic. But, with the launch today of Photoshop for a subset of Windows Mobile devices, that is exactly what's happened (and maybe I am a little bit of a lunatic) ;) OK, so the name is a little misleading... you're not going to be loading your PSDs onto your phone and doing serious image editing... what Photoshop Mobile offers is..."the easiest way to upload, view, and share your photos online from your phone: - Upload and store photos online as soon as you take them (get 2GB of storage free) - View your online photos and albums from your phone - Share them wherever you are All you need is a support Windows Mobile phone and a Photoshop.com membership. To download the beta, follow the steps in the blue box above or type m.photoshop.com on your phone's browser. Still pretty cool, especially for free! Supported devices at this time are the Blackjack, Blackjack II, Motorola Q9C, Motorola Q9H and the Treo 750 (without touchscreen features)... which leads me to think all you Smartphone users should be OK. Unfortunately the distinct lack of buttons on my Omnia means this isn't going to work for me  Hence, i'm relying on you lot to tell me how good it is (or not)! :( To sign up or see a video demo of Photoshop Mobile in action, head on over to Photoshop.com. P
Guest Bibbleq Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 (edited) I hope they get some large screen device support going on soon... Edit after watching vid: Auto upload phone to public albums! bet theres gonna be a few "private" pics being uploaded by mistake as this rolls out ;) Edited September 26, 2008 by Bibbleq
Guest WearTheFoxHat Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 It would be nice if I could upload images from there to my galleries hosted @ smugmug etc.
Guest Paul (MVP) Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 You need Shozu for that... P
Guest WearTheFoxHat Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 ooh its on the device, will investigate!
Guest Griff_FFOC Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 As the Touch dual doesn't look to be compatable with photoshop yet, I tried the Shozu they recommend, only to get an "installation unsuccesful" every time I try to run the installation. Hmmm, I wonder if it's an app lock issue with it being an Orange handset, even though everything else has installed fine so far.
Guest kiint Posted September 28, 2008 Report Posted September 28, 2008 Pocket Artist is the closest thing I've seen to Photoshop for WinMo (layers, soft brushes, cloning, etc) http://www.conduits.com/products/artist/
Guest asom98 Posted June 11, 2009 Report Posted June 11, 2009 Great program. Ample amount of space for phone photos and editing options
