Windows Mobile Device Centre

Just purchased a samsung omnia i900 and I cant install windows mobile device centre either from the cd that came with the product or from a downloaded executable or through windows update. I am running Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 on an Acer aspire 5630 notebook. When I try to install from cd it installs windows mobile device handbook, then starts on the device centre, gets to 99% and then fails with an error "error in installation", when installing from a downloaded it gathers necessary information then it just vanishes, from windows update when I connect the device, it downloads from windows update then starts installing then fails. Can somebody please tell me how I can fix this problem, install windows mobile device centre and connect my samsung omnia to my notebook please thanks

I had a similar problem when i got mine it was failing cause the fdrive was invalid so i went in and changed the drive letter for the phone and that seemed to help. Good Luck

make sure you are running the install as admin
