Guest ptrbee Posted September 26, 2008 Report Posted September 26, 2008 (edited) Came across this while surfing, doesn't link properly but it's on this page http://www.reghardware.co.uk/news/smartphones/ under the title "Asus develops Samsung Omnia rival for O2" link to news page link to article looks very familiar.. ;) omnia rivals popping up Edited September 27, 2008 by ptrbee
Guest Omnia_1 Posted September 27, 2008 Report Posted September 27, 2008 (edited) Links to a page not found! here's a link to a much more reliable source. I guess you're talking about the Galaxy, looks very nice, however, personally will never ever ever buy another O2 or O2 branded product, just try to get support if it breaks down its nearly impossible, ROM updates are almost non existant and their customer service is worse than crapola! Guest awarner (MVP) Posted September 27, 2008 Report Posted September 27, 2008 Should have looked in on MoDaCo last week ;) we posted about it HERE abeit just over an hour after reghardware. Just wonder what the trackball will be like? hopefully decent software to make full use of it.
Guest Neil5459 Posted September 27, 2008 Report Posted September 27, 2008 There may or may not be truth in the report about the Galaxy, but it isn't imminent. There was some confusion about a new O2 ASUS device, to be called the Zest, but based on the Galaxy, but it seems the next one to be released will the the XDA Zest/ASUS Crystal; this is supposedly an entry level WM6.1 Pro device, which will be available on PAYG. Guest Koofteh Posted September 28, 2008 Report Posted September 28, 2008 No quad-band so no go for North America. Also, no LED flash and it looks like it comes with just basic WinMo 6.1? No updated GUI or anything?
