i760 wm6.1 vpn setup

i have searched this forum and others looking for how to setup vpn network properly and have yet to figure it out this phone will hold the connection but will not navigate to any website or ask for password not understanding their isnt just a vpn software for this device my school's network never works unless you have vpn tried it all diff. ways no work just for vpn
