Guest respider Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 Is it true that you can Zoom in in any screen in Omnia? How? ;)
Guest Peter Q Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 By default, press and hold the volume up key
Guest dunc Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 open an email and you can double-tap the screen and zoom. hold a finger on right-hand side and a slider appears allowing you to zoom in and out. It's fairly pointless IMHO, but each to their own I guess. don't think you can zoom anywhere else, but the basic idea is a firm double tap and if it doesn't work first time persevere.
Guest eduuuuu Posted October 2, 2008 Report Posted October 2, 2008 which is a dumb thing, since you can't do anything zooming it! If you want to zoom and click, it's impossible... so you have to zoom it back (out), and then zooming is useless. does anyone know how to disable it?

Guest Lucavi Posted October 3, 2008 Report Posted October 3, 2008 to do a click, tap n hold on the position. the app will zoom out n click for u Awww. Why does it have to zoom back out! I thought I could perhaps ditch the stylus in some of those super tiny menus.
Guest pidsw Posted October 3, 2008 Report Posted October 3, 2008 I accidently activate it often. It is rather annoying. There appears to be two Zoom modes for some reason. One of them shows an iconic representation of where you are on the screen (similar to Opera) and the other does not. The former can (only?) be exited via the "Main Menu" button. One pattern that I have noticed: - Many windows Mobile Phones come with odd interface defaults and odd little touches that are often neat but eventually suck 90% of the time. - Exception to this is the fact that Omnia has a large menu font setting by default. This was a nice touch (one registry change), as a result of it, I installed Touch Commander and now I can effectively use menus without a dpad. (I still wish that I had a dpad and more buttons, but I do love the Omnia for the quality of the hardware) - The IPhone has one interface which I do not like at all. You are stuck with it. - Ditto for their keyboard. - On Windows Mobile there are dozens of keyboards that suck, and possibly two that are good. I've tried just about everything that I could find, and for me the clear winners are: - Mobile Shell on omnia - Quickmenu and some basic today apps ( callender, weather, tasks, messages) on anything with a windows button and a dpad.
