Well i was having trouble with iGO8 GPS locking with the latest firmware im using HI2 slow i decided today to have a mess around with settings while out on the road.. And finally got a solution! ;)

I did this by changing the "External GPS" settings located in Start > Settings > System

Change Baudrate to 38400 from 4800.

So my settings are GPS program port COM3

GPS Hardware port 9

Access : Manage auto

Seems to get GPS alot faster and almost everytime i launch iGO8 within 10-20 seconds?

I know this may seem simple to some but thought i may aswell point it out, Also make sure you change the GPS settings within iGO8

the setting found in your phone are for internal GPS. external GPS usually configured with splitter or gateway.
