A few noob questions... be gentle!

First I'd like to state, that i just picked up my SPV the other day, fooled around with it for a bit, and thought to myself wow .. this sure is a neat phone!

The today I found all the websites with ways of customizing and adding and whatnot .. and now I'm TOTALLY flabbergasted *cackles with insane glee*! This phone is the COOLEST toy I've ever had!!

Anyways, I was wondering if it's possible to choose which icons you want on your 'home' .. without making a skin or whatnot.

Also if it's possible for the phone to check your hotmail!? By forwarding your mail to your spv e-mail .. or otherwise!?

erm, as for the home screen icons, you can change the default MRU (most recently used) icons with a registry tweak (check out my site under Tweaks and HomeScreen), or, if you are using the Orange homescreen it has an additional list of programs, which you can change by changing the XML code, theres plenty of threads mentioning this i think.

As for hotmail, should be possible, not tried it myself, but can't see why not cos hotmail is also pop3.

Hotmail can only be checked via HTTP on the SPV. U won't be able to setup ur SPV to alert you when e-mail arrives at ur Hotmail account but u can check it manually by visiting a web page on ur phone. Check out the link below for URL etc and more details on this topic :lol:
