cannot connect wireless

i have just received my new eeepc 701 today.

however ihave problem with connecting to my home wireless network.

pc detects wifi immediatleyl however when trying to connect i get following

DHCPDISCOVER on ath0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 interal 3

DHCPDISCOVER on ath0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 interal 5

DHCPDISCOVER on ath0 to 255.255.255.255 port 67 interal 13

No working leases in persistent database -sleeping

run-parts --verbose/etc/network/if-up.d

and it remiand pending

can someone help please
